WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

The Walk-in-Interview for filling up of the one post of Bioinformatician (on contract basis) to handle genome sequencing analysis software, which includes aligning, assembling as well as annotating the sequences for final interpretation of the strains for a duration of one year, will certainly be held on 09.02.2021 at NCDC, 22-Sham Nath Marg (Near Civil Line Metro Station), Delhi- 110 054. The details are, as under:

The above-mentioned positions will be filled up on contract basis for a duration of one year on the TOR, as under:

(a) The engagement is totally on contract basis for a full-time basis and also no other employment ought to be taken up along with this engagement.

(b) The appointment can also be terminated at any time, on either side by giving 15 days notice or by paying 15 days salary.

(c) That there will certainly be no claim for extension of employment on contract basis beyond the expiry of the contract.

(d) It will be treated as NON-OFFICIAL.

(e) The engagement will not be entitled to any kind of service benefits as admissible to regular employees of NCDC.

(f) The engagement is not entitled to any type of T.A. for joining the appointment.

(g) The candidate will need to sign the contractual service agreement with NCDC.

(h) The applicant will be entitled to annual leave of thirty days @ 2 as well as a half.

Registration will certainly be closed at 10.30 AM sharp. Applicant reporting after 10.30 AM will not be entertained. Candidates reporting without original document will certainly also not entertained. The applicant should ensure their eligibility, as per above Terms of Reference, prior to appearing for Walk-in-interview.

Essential Qualification:

Master degree (M. Tech/ M. Sc/ MS) in Bioinformatics or Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with specialization in Bioinformatics from a recognized University. At the very least one year experience after M. Tech/MS degree or 3 years after M. Sc. degree in the field of bioinformatics as evident from publications in scientific journals of high international repute.

Desirable qualification:

1. Candidate holding Post Doc in Bioinformatics.
2. Candidate holding PhD degree on a relevant topic associated to any of the above field from a recognized University will be given preference.
3. R & d of various bioinformatics tools to study, analyze and interpret data associated with lab based studies on infectious diseases. Molecular modelling as applied to molecular biology and genetics of infectious diseases or various other similar areas related to bioinformatics of human diseases.
