Applications Invited For Job-Oriented Short-Term Online Certificate Courses In Biotechnology

BiSEP

Biotechnology Skill Enhancement Programme (BiSEP) aims to educate and empower human resources to bridge the gap between the biotech industry and academia. A unique initiative in India covers 9 Biotech Domains in 18 reputed PG institutions across 8 Districts of Karnataka.

Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation, we are not able to start the next batch of regular one-year Postgraduate Diploma under BiSEP. As an effective alternative, short-term industry-oriented training based on the syllabus of BiSEP in specific biotechnology sub-domain focusing on job-readiness is offered by the 18 BiSEP Host Institutes.

Applications are invited for job-oriented online Certificate Courses in the areas of Bioinformatics & Big Data Analytics, Biopharmaceutical Technology, Cellular & Molecular Diagnostics, Clinical Research & Data Management, Fermentation & Bioprocessing, Multi-OMICs Technology, Nutraceuticals & Food Processing, Plant Genetic Engineering and Protein Expression & Scale-up.

Three [3] Months Online Certificate Course Offline Practical Sessions or Industry Training for select students based on performance

Tuition Fees Rs.5000/- (Students completing the course or put-up min. 75% attendance will get Rs.2000/- refunded)

Eligibility

M.Sc in Biotech/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Bioinformatics or any other Life sciences related courses) or B.E/B.Tech (Biotech/Bioinformatics) or B. Pharma/ B.Sc (Agri) /B.Vsc. or any 4 years degree courses in Life Science and subjects with minimum 50% marks in the qualifying degree examination (40% for students belonging to SC/ST categories).

Candidates who have appeared for the final semester/year qualifying degree examination are also eligible to apply.

Seat allotment

Seat allotment is based on academic marks and Online Counselling for Select Candidates, if required. Application form, modalities for submission of application online, list of host institutes and all other terms and conditions are available at www.bisep.karnataka.gov.in

Important Dates

• Last Date to Apply Online: 31st December 2020
• Intimation to selected candidates: 3rd January 2021
• Online Counseling, If Required: 4th January 2021
• Online Course Starts On 6 th January 2021
