The Pollinators bees are hard to beat. The researchers working on a high-tech alternative drones that blow soap bubbles to transport pollen to a flower.

Last three-fourths of the world’s crops depends on insect pollination to reproduce. However, due to climate change and the widespread use of pesticides, bee and other pollinator number are declining worldwide.

Many U.S. farmers resorted to trucking bees around the country when pollinators are needed. Scientists warn about what this could mean for the future of our food supply.

however, Japanese researcher say they might have a solution and it involves blowing soap bubbles.

Yu Gu, a roboticist at West Virginia University, is skeptical about the use of drones to deliver bubbles. Researcher created a light bubble solution that was able to suspend both natural pollen grains and a germination solution. Researcher used that solution in a bubble gun. They achieved a 95% pollination rate in pear orchard.
